Who is the course for?Home language is for anyone who wants to learn to speak English and make rapid progress in only a few weeks. Whether you are 18 years old or 80 years, you will be speaking English from day one. Live and study in a private teacher’s home. English will be the only language spoken. This full immersion concept ensures rapid progress, and is without a doubt the most effective way to learn to speak English. Most language schools teach English in large groups of 15 or more students. We know that students get very little opportunity to practise speaking the language and spend hours learning with an audiotape. To make rapid and lasting progress it is essential to communicate with real people. There are many disadvantages associated with learning to speak English in large groups. For example, progress is always very slow, students are often too shy to speak out or ask for clarification, and the overall costs are high. How is the course structured?At Home Language London all lessons are individually planned and taught by highly qualified teachers. Most teachers speak several languages and many have taught in top LONDON schools as well as overseas. Students begin speaking and living the language from the moment they arrive. This is what makes the difference and hence there is plenty of opportunity to discuss the student’s individual needs and set the pace accordingly. In addition to private one to one English lessons, teachers also provide small group lessons with the option of, four or six adults per group. Small group lessons are very popular, and there is still opportunity during each session for each student to have some one-to-one teaching with the teacher. (generous discounts available) Will I be assessed?You will receive an assessment when you arrive and one at the end of your course. This helps the teacher to plan your individual lessons, and also highlights your progress at the end of your course. You will receive a Home Language London Certificate.Complete beginners to more advanced students are welcome. After the first few days, even complete beginners feel at ease speaking English in a relaxed learning environment.
